Please join us for Unwind…A Westin Evening Ritual. Every evening from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, we create a unique ambiance in our deseo lounge as the sun goes down. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a specialty muddle drink and enticing ceviche. It is sure to lift your spirits and stimulate your senses. Come start your evening with a traditional mojito or Muddle Cocktail at Deseo The Muddle Bar: Choose from our selection of fresh fruits (mango, pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and more), herbs (basil, tarragon, mint and more) along with your favorite spirit. Let us create your own unique beverage experience. Or, choose from our custom creations. Scottish Pipes at Sunset
The Westin Kierland’s “Scottish Pipes at Sunset” series is back with bagpiper Michael McClanathan. In keeping with the resort’s “Essence of Arizona” theme, the Scottish Pipes at Sunset series pays tribute to the contributions made by the Scottish immigrants to the development of Arizona’s railroads, mines and towns. A bagpiper with 40 years of experience, McClanathan has acquired numerous medals and trophies as a result of his success in various competitions. He has performed before such dignitaries as the Lord Mayor of London and President George Bush, and for the opening day ceremonies of a variety of state legislatures. McClanathan plays daily in Dreamweavers Canyon at sunset. • January and February is 5:30 - 6:30PM • March is 6 - 7PM • April is 6:30 – 7:30PM • May, June and July 7 - 8PM • August 6:30 - 7:30PM • September 6 - 7PM • October 5:30 - 6:30PM • November and December 5 - 6PM Combine this “joyful noise” with a libation and appetizer. Westin Kierland’s multilevel lobby makes the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset - whether you choose to relax in The Rim Lobby Lounge (named after the Mogollon Rim), the Ali-Shonak Library (a Native American term meaning Place of Small Springs), Waltz & Weiser Saloon (Lost Dutchman Mine legend) or simply al fresco in Dreamweavers Canyon.
