Blockbuster Movie Weekends- “American Girl”
The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa is the place to be throughout the summer. Enjoy the latest summer movie releases as well as pre and post movie-themed activities, all as part of our special Blockbuster Weekends.

For Fourth of July weekend, guests staying at The Westin Kierland can participate in special “American Girl” blockbuster-themed activities, watch movies poolside, and have the FUN Department assist you in purchasing tickets to the blockbuster movie and arrange for transportation to and from the Resort.

This delicious treatment will help you get ready for some pool time fun, just in time for Fourth of July! This firming wrap contains Blueberries which are high in antioxidants and improves circulation and elasticity in the skin while it rejuvenates and revitalizes.

House-Cured WHITE Tea Salmon at Nellie Cashman’s Monday Club Café
The House-cured WHITE Tea Salmon is a specialty from Nellie Cashman’s breakfast menu. It comes served with cream cheese, bagel, onions and capers, a perfect breakfast to start the day. This dish was created to coincide with the Westin Brand signature White Tea scent, and the salmon is cured in-house, providing for the freshest ingredients.

Adventure Water Park and Lazy River - The Resort’s Adventure Water Park offers more than 575,000 gallons of water fun including a 900-foot lazy river and a 110-foot-long waterslide. Both the Adventure Water Park and Adult Pool have a Glacier Pool Cooler, a state-of-the-art technology that chills the pool’s temperature by as much as 14 degrees, creating an environment that is both cool and comfortable, even on summer’s hottest day.

Poolside Movies - Enjoy a refreshing summer splash while watching the latest movie releases and summer classics with Poolside Movies at the Resort’s Adventure Water Park every Friday and Saturdays at sun down.

Fourth of July FUN Arts and Crafts! - Kids of all ages are invited to join the FUN Team in a special arts and crafts project that they can take home as a souvenir of their Kierland Vacation. From tie dye t-shirts, pottery painting, teddy bear stuffing, shoe creations and more, with a different craft offered daily the kids are sure to keep coming back for more! Prices vary for each activity.

Fourth of July Poolside Activities -Kids of all ages are invited to join the FUN Team for poolside activities. Some of the fun includes water balloon games, hula hoop, limbo, relay races, and much more! FUN is offered daily between the hours of 10:00am-4:00pm just listen for the poolside announcements so you don’t miss out on the fun!

Kids in the Kitchen - “Kids in the Kitchen” is the area’s first interactive culinary program in which kids get to don “chef’s whites” and work with the Resort’s expert Kierland culinary team. Designed for children between ages five and 10 (although all ages are welcome), this 90-minute program covers all areas of the culinary process from start to finish: safety, cleanliness, cooking/baking and, of course, the consumption of a product from a job well-done. The session also includes a tour of the many kitchens inside the Resort as well as other “back of the house” locations.

The Phoenix Zoo is here! - The FUN Team has partnered with the Phoenix Zoo to bring the animals to you! Guests of all ages will enjoy the 60 minute, interactive Desert Connections program where guests are introduced to the animal life of the desert. From the blistering sun to the scorching sand, discover how animals have adapted to live in this environment. This Phoenix Zoo presentation includes discussions about camouflage, nocturnal vs. diurnal, habitats, and food and water conservation.

Kids “Animal Yoga”- Kids ages 7-12 can enjoy “Animal Yoga” on Sunday mornings at Agave, The Arizona Spa. Kids are natural yogis with their boundless energy and natural flexibility and with this special class they will learn the techniques of breathing and movement associated with yoga asanas or postures. Throughout the 45 minute class children will roar like a lion, hop like a bunny, stretch like a giraffe, sit like a dog, and be happy and sad cats. They will learn how the muscles can elongate and relax with each stretch. After class, they will get to sip a healthy mini fruit smoothie while they share with parents the fun animal poses they learned!

Arizona S’mores Roasting- The Westin Kierland Resort takes traditional s’mores roasting to a whole new level. Families can enjoy the usual fun of roasting s’mores around a campfire, and now have a unique Arizona twist to it that creates a brand new memory. Arizona S’mores roasting takes place every Friday and Saturday, affording families the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind from their busy day of swimming, shopping, and sight-seeing.
